FACIAL BOTOX

BOTOX is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to improve the look of moderate to severe lines and wrinkles. It works by blocking nerve impulses to the injected muscles. This reduces muscle activity that causes persistent lines to form between the brows, across the forehead and around the eyes.

WHY SHOULD I CONSIDER BOTOX?

You may feel your frown lines between the brows or around your eyes make you look tired, angry, or unapproachable. The 11's---those vertical lines that appear between your brows---result from muscle contractions. When you concentrate, squint, or frown, the muscles between your brows contract, causing your skin to furrow and fold. After years of frequent contraction, those wrinkles can linger even after the muscles are at rest.

 

WILL I STILL BE ABLE TO MAKE FACIAL EXPRESSIONS?

Although the results are visible, a treatment with BOTOX will not radically change your facial appearance or make you look as if you've "had work done." The muscle activity that causes frown lines between the brows is temporarily reduced, so you can still frown or look surprised without the wrinkles and creases between your brows. Our goal is to give you a natural, restful look. 

 

HOW LONG CAN I EXPECT MY RESULTS TO LAST?

Within 24-48 hours, you may notice a softening in the appearance of your frown lines between your brows. The injected area may continue to improve for up to a month. Visible results have been shown to last up to 4 months.

 

WHAT AREAS OF THE FACE CAN BOTOX BE INJECTED?

BOTOX has been approved for injection into the frown lines between the eyes. It is also used to correct frown lines on the forehead as well as crows feet around the eyes. BOTOX can help with the vertical lines around the lips ("smoker's lines") and some areas of the chin.
