Certified Medical Assistant
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID19
Ability to type at least 60 words per minute and proficient in EHR
Assist with procedure setup including but not limited to IV infusions, hormone pellet insertion, therapeutic injections, phlebotomies, EKG's and drug screens.
Room patients and obtain vitals and pertinent patient medical history in a timely and efficient manner keeping pace with the schedule of 20+ patients as well as the ability to accommodate occasional walk-in visits, and anything else as needed per provider request.
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing services within the clinic setting.
Scribing for provider during office visit and charging out office visits appropriately.
Assist provider with prescription refill requests, lab orders, patient portal inquiries, and necessary documentation requested by outside entities including short term disability paperwork, plans of care, and initiating necessary referrals to other specialties.
Ability to work as a team member and communicate effectively with other members of the team to maintain flow of the workday.
Willingness to assist in other areas of the practice as needed.
Responsible for maintaining clinic communication via in-office apps, email and EHR portals to keep up-to-date with patient needs as well as office notifications
Working within scope of practice and the guidelines set forth by clinic policies and procedures.
